It is clear to me now that I have broken spit. I’ve read posting after posting on how folks just spit into their swim goggles and scuba mask to keep it from fogging up, with great success, so it’s become ever apparent to me that my spit is broken. It just doesn’t work. I spit a little, and I spit a lot, and no matter how much effort I put into it, my spit just doesn’t keep my eye wear from fogging up.
Did you know that your mouth produces roughly 50 ounces of saliva (spit) each and every day? Yup, 50 ounces. That’s equal to two typical size bottles of water. Crazy right. Well, your spit can tell you a lot about you, your health and your diet. It can tell you if you are dehydrated, it can tell you if you have gum disease, it can tell you what your pH levels are, it can even tell you if you have too much saliva, and it can even tell you if you have an infection or even reflux.
